Our League of Legends team fails to go through the Round of 16 as they stand defeated 2-0 by current World Champions, Moscow Five.
Not so long ago, we brought you wonderful news as we announced our participation during the IPL #4 qualifiers. A praise that is not awarded to many due to the organizers' restriction to strictly top calibre teams. However, as we were seeded in the arguably toughest side of the brackets, this journey didn't come across as quite effortless. A comfortable win was achieved during the Round of 32, which consecutively brought us to a game against the current world champions and recent IEM winners, Moscow Five.
First game of the Best of Three series started off with a fair disadvantage as the opponent's pick was far ahead of ours. On the other hand, we managed to put some pressure at the beginning, which worked well until the ganking started from behalf of the Russians. An underfarmed Alyster, constant ganking from M5 and a few unfortunate teamfights were the main factors leading to our first lose. All hopes went down to the second match. A perfect start for The Wolves as their champions choice seemed somehow superior to the rival's. First blood was picked up in the middle line towards our favour during the first seconds in. From then, it was just a matter of keeping the 4-0 advantage which they acquired following successful kills. Nevertheless, not the case. As our players were trying to eliminate the dragon from the Rift, the opponent sneakily initiated a teamfight which we totally flunked, resulting in a gradual defeat with a 2-0 scoreline, and our definite knock-out of the tourney.
We hope that with more practise we will be able to go even further next season.
